Join Us > Spiritual Fraternity
Over the months and years of their commitment to this spirituality, most of them acknowledge that they have refined their own behaviours, with a self-teaching that ‘If Bartolomea could be that, why not I?’ As a result of being a member of this Fraternity and through the various inputs on the life of our Saints and the personal sharing’s of each other they have brought in a change in their own families and together with their family members they are able to reach out in active charity to their neighborhood, parish and in their work-place.
Commitments Undertaken:
- Those who desire to share in the Charism in a more explicit way have taken up a public commitment annually – after a period of preparation.
- Devotion to Mary has been rigorously cultivated by reflection on Mary’s self-surrender and her life of faith.
The Formative itinerary oriented towards attaining personal holiness
The beneficiaries are the sisters, lay persons and their families.
-
To follow this journey of holiness, the members train themselves to listening to the word of God, in particular to their commitment to meditation for at least 15 minutes daily any time during the day.
-
Every Second Saturday, the members of the fraternity meet at St. Francis Convent Secunderabad with 2 or more sisters to pray together and learn more about the Christian discipleship in the spirit of our saints. And in St. Mary’s Kothagudem three sisters join them for the meeting.
-
They conclude the day with a review of the day – examination of consciousness.
-
Strive to do everything for the glory of God and the good of the neighbor especially the weak, the disoriented, the less privileged and the most needy of any phase of life.
-
Commit themselves to the spirituality and Charism of our saints and promote membership of the fraternity.
-
Participation in the Sunday liturgy and life of the parish – proclaiming the gospel through catechism for children.
-
They also carry out charitable activities such as giving tuitions at home for the economically and academically poor students, visit the sick etc. Occasionally talks are arranged for them. Twice the spiritual fraternity group belonging to Kothagudem area had joined the Spiritual fraternity group at St. Francis Convent Secunderabad for the commitment and renewal.
